FYI For those who need tires, Tire Rack is backordered on only the REAR tires... the fronts are in stock. There had been a rumor that all of the tires were backordered for the S2000, so I wanted to disspell the myth!

 

I wasn't aware that they were on backorder, Sondra. Is that a chronic situation, or just at this time? What are they telling you regarding availability and order lead time (of the rears)? I'm going to need new ones before too long. Thanks.

Sondra, I'm assuming this is only for the Bridgestones, right?

 

My discount tire rep told be that they should be in around 4 weeks. I don't know how accurate that is, but that's my story.

I'm down past the wear bars on my 2nd set of rears, which are S02 Pole "POS"itions. These wore down faster than the stockers.

I had to order a set of Michelin Pilot Sports for the "Big Dance" in Asheville. These tires are expensive and I hope they have 2/3 of the performance of the OEM S02's.

The general consensus is to stick it out for the OEM S02's. They are better than anything else on our car.

 

As far as I know, this is not a chronic situation, and I am told they will available at the end of the month. The last time I ordered from Tire Rack, they had the tire in stock and at my door in no time...

 

i have one extra rear left if anyone in the NJ area would like one at a discount...has about 2k on it and the wear is still good.

I just ordered a set of rear SO2s last week from Connor at Tire Rack for about $187 each. He told me I should expect delivery this week. I hope he was right as my tread is getting a bit thin.
