Default Ready to buy - options?

I'm ready to buy in the next couple of days. Is there any options I should go for that I can't do better after-market? As far as I can see it has everything I need, so paying for extras is a waste of $$.

All dealers around here (Ventura/Santa Barbara, CA) are asking 38-40k. I'm not willing to go over msrp, so I'll let you know how it goes when sombody serious walks in.

Also, I'm going to be specific about:
- Never been test driven by ANYONE
- <10 mi.
- Never been vtec'ed
- front license plate plugs
- What else should I request??????

Thanks

Get the checklist. Make sure all spring spacers (14) are out and you get all the keys, the manual, and the floor mats.

Also, don't let them wash it for you.

Good luck.

Got the letter w/checklist. Thanks

What wheels have more spacers - front or back? Or is it more on the right wheels since tracks go counter-clockwise?

Does anyone know how (%) the reg/lic is figured in CA? If I knew that beforehand it would help with negotiations.

So if I or anyone was to go in there, buying an s2k. And I ask them to remove all the spring spacers. They will know what I am talking about and do it with no problems?

You can try to get them to throw in wheel locks if you want the Honda ones. Forget rustproofing and paint protection. These are just money in their pockets. Do you want the OEM front and rear spoilers? Deal on these. Do you want the hardtop at any time? Deal on this. Factory alarm? Again, try to work this into the overall deal. Extended warranty? Will you ever want an extra key or remote? This is the time they'll discount if they are ever going to do it. If you go back after the sale, you'll pay list for the options.
(Do you think you'll need the block heater? j/k )

10 spring spacers on the front tires and four on the back. I bought out of state and paid approx $2500 for taxes and registration. 7.5% tax.

Most rustproofing processes are gimmicks and do little to actually "rustproof" a vehicle. Check the incidents of rust on newer cars in your area compared to other areas. You may not find much difference. It it'll buy you piece of mind, well ............ it might be worth it to you.
Paint protections - definitely a gimmick.
