Is this really needed when lowering?

Hey guys, im about to buy Espelir springs for MY00. I was wondering if this is needed when only dropping about 1"

You will need alignment.

quick question but hows does that get effected? when the car is lowered the wheels go in at the top...i always though that was camber and alignment was setting your wheels straight with your steering wheel.
