Mine never clouded than again I have always covered it with cling on vinyl tint. Works for me.

It's good that the window is still intact after spending that much time down... You should keep the top for the summer. It will probably spend more time down that up anyway. Let the old one bake in the sun and deal with the summer weather, then you can get a nice new top just as the weather gets cooler.
