Rear Creaking
My S2000 has a creaking noise coming from the rear when I go up/down my driveway or when my car has just came to a stop and leans back. I can also make it creek by opening my trunk and pushing hard up and down with my hands in the trunk, which makes both sides of my rear squeak/creek. It sounds like metal scraping metal and something needs oiled in the suspension on each side of the rear wheels.
What do you guys think it could be? Shocks? CV Joints?

I believe that all of the suspension is stock and also, it can't be the differential because it does it when the car is off, when I push up and down inside the trunk with my hands.

I am going to have it looked at friday. Is it normal for suspension to wear out after only 54,000 miles? If it is the suspension, would I be best to go OEM for replacement? Should I probably change the front suspension also? How much do you think it will cost me?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i had a similar metal to metal sound in my car. I found out that it was from the trunk. the two black metal bars connecting each side of the trunk lid was the source. I placed some thick double sided tapes and the sound disappeared. Hope this helps.

I would bet it's something a bit more simple, the noise is from rear brake calipers self adjusting when you back down the driveway. If so, nothing to worry about, perfectly normal.

I can make the car, make the noise when it is off and the e-brake is pulled by pushing up and down on the back of the car. I can clearly tell that it is coming from both rear wheel wells but not sure what it is.
