rear ended AGAIN!
So the S was rear ended again yesterday on the way to work. The guy who hit me was sorry and really calm but it still blows to see the car all busted up. Rear bumper completely came off and was mangled, trunk lid was crunched, bumper frame bent pretty good, trunk tub crunched, and both taillights are cracked or broken. Exhaust is totally intact and the rear fenders seem fine but I really haven't had time to really look. Surprisingly the trunk still opens and closes fine despite being caved in. Car still functions and runs fine but is pretty muffed up at the moment. Insurance will cover all of it but it's so frustrating.
The real b**ch is that this is the fourth non-fault accident the S has been involved in since it's first accident in Nov. 08. Insurance took care of all of them. The story reads as follows:
1st accident was when an F-150 rear ended a Cherokee that rear ended me. Emotionally devastating
2nd accident was when buddy backed out of his driveway at night and hit the S parked on the other side of the street. I was in his backyard playing washers the whole time. Emotionally frustrating
3rd accident was when my ex backed out of a driveway at night and hit the S on the opposite side of street AGAIN. I was sitting on porch when it happened. Emotionally numbing
4th accident was being rear ended AGAIN yesterday. Emotionally unstable
Is this a sign that I need a new car or something? I love my car most than I love some humans. Anyone want to trade their 2002 GPW w/ all red interior for a 2002 suzuka w/ all blue interior?

Wow, sorry to hear that
I've had mine rear-ended at least 4 times, as well, but in all cases no visible damage was done. I am on my 3rd S2000 courtesy of others not being careful.

From your list, might I suggest when you park on the street not to park where somebody would hit it when backing out of a drive? Look for a spot farther down the road

So... your car got hit multiple times while sitting in the same parking spot... Nobody ever learned that a car gets parked there?!
Sorry to hear about all the accidents I dunno if it helps but I got rear ended by a bus while in stop and go highway traffic. That sucked ass too.

damn bad luck, get a garage. There is no way I would even buy this car if I didn't have a garage. So happy my baby is tucked away, safe and sound. To much bad shit happens out side at night.

Sorry to hear about the 4th accident. San Antonio drivers suck; I've been driving here for the past 11 years and people have gotten worse. If you have a driveway I would seriously park there and let someone else park in the street or eventually find a place with a garage. Best of luck!
