Default Is the rear fender removeable?

Most convertibles I know have the rear fender removeable. Is the rear fender removeable on the S also?

If not, why didn't they make it removeable?

Thanks.

at a shop i use to worked at, we cut off a Rear fender (quarter panel) then wield in a new one from a used quarter panel that was at the junk yard. only reason u want to do this is if your quarter panel was crushed

Not to mention the drivers side has the gas outlet that adds a lot of work to it.
