That quite a chunk of change for just a window, but so far, I have already spent $270 just on Rick's rear wind screens and $2400 on tires and another $250 on other crap...

Aside from the tires, which appear to be the result of being a whacko, I think a glass rear window would increase my satisfaction with the car more than anything else I have put in it.

'course.. a turbo kit......... That would increase my satisfaction with the car.

Rick's makes more than one kind of windscreen? Or did you buy for more than one car?

Dealer broke the first one... I broke the replacement by lowering the top with it folded down during the install. The car never moved. On the good side, the break was clean, so now I have a short windscreen with a logo

If current owners want the glass rear window, $1500 is likely to be a lot LESS than the hit you'd take trading in your current MY '00 or '01 on a new 2002...

I'll be waiting for more info on this, especially confirmation if it's really possible to upgrade/replace tops to include the rear glass.

These thing used to bother me. But now after 12k miles, a cloudy window, chipped lip from bugs, etc, I just don't care anymore. I haven't washed the car in over a month, have been driving it in the rain, and definately have let the window go... I guess the mystique if finally gone (although I am having MORE fun since I'm not worrying about bug juice and road tar )

You've already installed the glass rear window?

Isn't anyone worried about the lack of rear visability with such a small glass window????????? The visability with the large plastic one is bad enough? With a smaller window you might as well have nothing.

I'm personally glad I have the larger plastic one. I dont mind the extra care needed.

If you have an 00 or 01, get the 2700 hardtop from H&A...
