rear glass window cracked

Default rear glass window cracked

Hi i got a 2001 s2000 with a rear glass window...It broke in thousand pieces and i was wondering if I could jus replace the rear window..without replacing the whole top?

i think u can change the glass only but im not sure

Technically you can, but it's not an easy task. It actually zips in, but there's quite a bit of work to get it in there and seal it correctly. From what I've seen on the forums, it's cheaper/easier to replace the entire top.

mine is different mine is kinda glued on.. does that make a differnce

Really? Oh wait that's right. I had an 01 and it had the plastic window. Is your top aftermarket?

yes its a glass window i got another replacement one from the junk yard..is there any way someone could gue on the old top?

where there is a will there is a way. find someone who is mechanically inclined and good with their hands and buy him a 6 pack of beer for his troubles.

rule number one for any ap1 owner with a soft top, never! ever put your top down in the freezing cold. I made this mistake my first winter i owned the car. hence the new soft top.
