rear wheels wells made of grease?

Default rear wheels wells made of grease?

i had run through some dirt on the road and i was cleaning out my rear wheel wells and i notcied they looked very weird, so i touched them with my fnger and realized they are made of total grease, does anybody knowwhat this is for, i have talked to some other guys who live around me with S and theres are the same we have no idea whats this for? can any body help thank a lot

Check for spring spacers. The spring spacers on my car melted down for one reason or another and this created the greasy black stuff on my wheel wells as well.

You don't have to lift the car just try and feel if there are spacers left on your car.

i know i don't have spacers cause i was at the dealer when they took them off they took 14 of total, i don't understand what it could be

It's just the soft undercoating to protect the metal of the car from rocks and salt and crap. They're all like that...

but why is it all grease like when you push your finger in it , it comes right off on your finger like grease

I don't think it's grease, it's probably the rubber tread that comes off our S02's so fast.

i don't know about that, i think i am just going to take it to honda and be like wtf is that stuff and let them explain it.
