Rear window for S2000
Hi,
I love this car and I want to buy it soon but I have question for all of you. I wondered if Honda will make some improvement for the rear window? So far S2000 have a plastic rear window and it looks really bad when the run few thousand miles. If you have information about S2000, please let me know, because I really love this car. Thanks.

Dear rstark and violation,
The S2000 V type is in the market right now (I meant the market in Japan, but I don't know about European market). You can check it out at honda.co.jp (it's Honda's official website in Japan). I read some articles about it and some expert says that the S2000 V type is more responsive in handling. But I don't know about that (because my japanese skill is not good enough so I couldn't read more detail about this issue
) All I want to know is anyone of you have any idea about this S2000 V type. Once again, thank you for replying my thread.
Regards,
Izzy

Dear Airgate,
Thank you for your info. Well, my skill to read japanese is very limited and sometimes I misunderstood the meaning of it. I will check it out the website that you mentioned earlier. Hey, I just wondered if you have information that when Honda will put the glass rear window for S2000?not the hardtop one. I appreciated you help and info so far. Thank you.
Regards,
Izzy

MY 2002 will include a glass window that is about half the hieught of our existing windows. Looks like the bottom half will be covered with roof material. Thus a smaller glass window with a rear window defroster. Should be ok, but then again, i never drive with the top up. Maybe with a glass rear window i would?
the hardtop looks great and is available today. the rear window in that one is great as it wraps around to the sides. Great visisbility from the one I sat in with the hard top.
V-type likely will NOT land in US as it is supposedly so responsive that one twitch would land you n the center divide, or worse yet, on coming traffic. Liability issues in the US will likely keep it out, at least for road use.
