2 things.

First go to an auto parts store and get scratch remover for plastic. (i think i use meguires (sp?)) They also have a protectant for plastic as well. In fact, it may even say specifically for convertible plastic windows on the bottle. One bottle is brown/tan, the other is blue. This stuff is great and removes just about all the scratches and haze you get.

The other thing is, put a soft towel in the compartment where the convertible goes when you put the top down. That back area is a hard plastic, and if you put the towel down, it greatly reduces the haze that shows up on your window.

Put a towel on both sides when you put the top down. My rear window got scratched up so bad that the local dealer replaced it under warranty (they don't do that any more) as a good will gesture. Ever since I had the new window installed, it has never been down without protection on both sides of it. After two years it's still completely clear.

I had an ugly haze that wouldn't go away and minor scratches so I just tinted the window.

the visibility is still good. Just as if you tinted a glass rear window. You can get the tint at Walmart for 12 dollars. Just make sure you get static tint. Heres a view from the inside.

Towel or mat is for the inside. You don't need anything for the outside unless you are really anal and want the use of a tube to prevent creasing.
