The reason I'm keeping my S2000...
Good read! Hearing things like this make me even happier to be a proud owner. I smile everytime I go out to my car. I'd like to keep it forever and I'm working hard to make sure I can. Being 23 - turning 24...I know that there might come a time when I will have to pass it along for someone else to enjoy. I want a family, I have an amazing g/f who I will wife up in the near future, priorities change, whatever the case may be - there might a time where I will have to consider selling it. As "scary" as that sounds, it just makes me appreciate what I have now and where I am in life. There's always people who have it worse than us. Its good to know what we have and not take it for granted.
Oh...and this goes without saying, but the S2ki community is by far the best enthusiast community I've ever belonged to. Seriously <3 you guys.

Life is short, so enjoy it when you can. FYI - so much changes after you get married.
OP: thanks for sharing your story. We all have things which inspire us and help us through the tough times. It varies from person to person, but the short of it is we all *get* where you are coming from and it's always nice to see we are all in the same boat, so to speak, in this life.

Make sure you get a pre-nup. If she fights you on it, don't marry her. All the laws favor <snipped unsolicited relationship and legal advice which may not actually apply>
