RECALL?
Yes I did receive my second factory recall a while back for the seat belt harness. I really don't like letting those people work on my S CAR, so my question is, will the warranty of the car be effected if I choose not to have this fixed. I have no problems with the belts now.
I had mine done. When I got the car back, it seemed as if there was no work done on the car. It made me very skeptical. But I guess they were carefull that is all. What I am trying to say is just try your luck. Go for the recommended dealers in your area by members of this board.
IMHO I think you should REALLY do the recall as safety is not something you can ignore. eg. scratched rear plastic window(these can be ignored but knowing how anal the owners can be...)

The recall is not safety related. Unrecalled belts are no more apt to failure.
The recall issue is a failure of the belts to release from the disengaged position. Ie, When you get in the car and attempt to put them on, they may not pull out on the first try. People that have had this problem say the belts do pull out if you try again.
My belts are fine and I've never had the problem. If I do ever get the problem I "may" have it fixed.
Why not have it fixed? It is a huge job. It requires the removal of the seats, much of the interior and the roll-bar structures. Personally I don't want the gearheads at my local dealership even touching the roll-bars, and I don't want my interior ripped out either.
There is no rush to get this fixed. Because this is an official recall, Honda is required to fix this for the life of the car, warranty or no.
My advice, only get it fixed if and when you acutally have the problem.
