Recall Letter for my s2000
No not really, it was to for the companies but hey... i might as well take advantage of it right??
As for the printing out the vin summary, i tried that, they denied that really fast. I just need a letter with the honda header on it, and a writen statement about how the car has no recalls... nothing more...
I'll really think twice before buying another honda.

For awhile I seriosly considered going to the States to buy a used S, but then guessed it wasn't worth the potential hassle. I'm glad I bought mine here.
Your situation is really unfortunate. Best of luck getting this sorted out Dave.

Wow what timing. Please inform me of how you solved this problem in the end preferabbly with a contact number. This wed I am planning on buying a 2005 Berlina White with Tan with only 1200miles on it! I'm gonna haveto do the same recall check etc as you.
I brought in my M3 from the states and had to go through with the same ordeal. It was much much easier though. I just called a international 1800 BMW number I got from the dealership and within 24hrs they had faxed me official documents which worked wonders.
Good luck to you, please let me know how what you end up doing! (shoot me a pm if u can)

Hey I am might be in a similar situation soon....
I had a question and an idea: Technically, donsent honda need the VIN and a US drivers licence number. So can you get someone who is in your family to call and get a letter on their licence. Or better yet if you have a US licence. Techincally would this work or is there something stating that you have to prove your residency other than a licence to get the damn letter.
thanks guys.....
