it was something dealing with American Honda finance saying the contract was returned....I'm leaving in an hour
Don't fall for the trick. They tried to do that to my dad at a Toyota dealership like 10 years ago. My dad flipped out! started talking shit to everyone in sight. They ended up asking him to leave, or they would have called the cops. He still kept the car though

My guess is that there was a "problem with the paperwork" and they need an extra $3000 down.

I have seen this trick about 3 times in my life (once happened to my Mom...at a Honda dealer in fact).

She drove down to the dealer, got the news, and told them take the car back... the GM runs out apologies and tells her no problem "we will work it out".

She kept the car and I reckon 'they worked it out' by tryin the same trick on the next customer.
Wow this is good to know. Major sleazage. Let us know if this is what they're trying to pull, Blax... They told you to bring the car? Make them tell you what's going on over the phone. This sounds bad.

yup..they are gonna try some crap on you.. go in another car.. they are going to say you need more money down.. or different finance rate.. something.. some interest rates are based on your credit score.. its odd that they said.. bring the car too..
i wouldn't do it..
and .. if they want more money .. i'd fight them a little.. you left with a signed contract..
make them jump thru hoops.. not you.. if they want anything else.. tell the salesman to come to your house.. did you trade in a car ???
wonder if its still there.. make them give you back your car.. and all your down payment.. give them the car back.. run the hell out of it... LOL

my local dealer has 3 in stock.. there is inventory out there...

so if they take your car, can't you just go somewhere else and buy another one? one upside is that you got to rent a car for free.
