Recently had my seats stolen while parked street side. Anyone have an idea of where to find decent replacements? I've looked on eBay, OfferUp, FB, but the seats look to be in ratty condition. Do seats turn up for sale often?

 

That sucks sorry to hear. One thing you may want to consider is buying a salvage car with good seats, www.copart.com has a few S2K''s on their site. Take the seats and resell the salvage car.

 

Get the ratty seats as cheap as you can and get them recovered. I did my '06 seats with the color cloth / leather that I wanted. I also added memory foam to the bottom seat and that made the seats much more comfortable on our long drives.

I did put a seat lock on the front bolts on both seats. I had a yellow (matches the color of the car) decal placed on each side inside window stating McGuard Seat Locks were installed. My hope is and was a thief might be able to read it before he/she/it/they/them/whatever sliced my soft top open to get at them.

Are people still stealing S2000 seats? I know it was a thing like 10 years ago...

 

Ask around in your local S2000 community (facebook group, etc) / make a want to buy post. You'll get some hits from people who weren't actively trying to sell their seats.

 

I ended up purchasing a set of seats on eBay. It took a while for the right pair to come around, but they did. I ultimately chose not to go down the reupholstery route b/c I'm not a fan of what I've seen online.

 

Sorry, dumb question maybe, but what have you seen online? Some years ago I purchased some extra seats to maybe re-upholster someday. Right now they are just sitting in my storage building.
