Default Recognize the engine?

Off a BMW board. I don't know the story. Going by the hood, it looks to be an E30 (BMW 3-series designation from two generations ago). Someone has suggested the 325ix (AWD 3-series).

I think that's actually 3 generations ago, the 320i built from '76 until '83 or thereabouts. For it to be the the '84-'91 generation it would need vents along the cowl near the wiper posts. (I remember this because I used to own an '85.)

Pretty interesting idea, though. Without looking it up I'd guess that car weighed in the 2500-lb range, so it should be pretty quick. Or at least it would be if they geared it right. I wonder if there's an S2000 transmission and differential in there, too.

i think it's a marvel of an engineering job. i personally would like to know how to do that on the hachi-roku, those babies are bad-ass for drifting.

Is this for real? Man ... F20c everywhere, it's impressive how they managed to get the setup working.
