Generic tools. Except for Honda S2000 oil wrench, if you use OEM Honda filters. Long extension, magnetic spark plug socket.

Thank you.
When we changed the differential fluid, those sizes weren't in my Dad's tool box. We had to buy them.
Are metric sizes more typical on the s2000?

I started with the followings:
3/8" and 1/2" ratchets
Sockets: 17mm, 24mm
Wrench: 23mm
Floor jack
Jack stands
Wheel chokes
Drain pan
Fluid pump
Shop towels

Sufficient to do engine oil, transmission fluid and differential fluid change.

Hope this will help you with a starting point.

Forgot to add an oil filter wrench like windhund mentioned above. I bought a generic oil filter wrench that I can use on other cars.

I'd also recommend a torque wrench in addition to what's been listed.

When it comes to where to buy tools, I've had great luck with Harbor Freight. In fact, I actually prefer their screwdrivers and ratchets over my Craftsman's.

When I got my car, I was out of college and living in DC (No garage at my place). I liked having tools that I could keep in the trunk at all times, just in case. I STILL heavily use a set like this, even now living in a place with a big garage and tool chest.

Are metric sizes more typical on the s2000? Of course! This is a Japanese car. Everything is metric.

Like any honda you just need a 10mm socket to take 90% of the car apart.
