I need recommendations for additional guages to watch over my Stook's engine now that it is in the process of heavy modification...

-Exhaust temp
-Water temp
-Oil temp
-Boost pressure

What do you think?

Also, who sells the best digital guages? Maybe an LCD readout that could be built-in to my visor?

As always, thanks a lot!

I personally really like the Greddy guages..they light up real nice at night ..Or if you're into Indiglo guages, Apexi makes a really nice set too..as for the digital guages..i can highly recommend a jumptronix afm..for your air fuel needs..I had it on my old talon tsi and while i was tuning my afc, it helped ALOT because i could see what the readout was on my O2 sensor in volts instead of some bars which you don't even know what they represent..i mean .94v and .88 is the dif between rich and lean..the website for that is http://www.jumptronix.com ..

Shaner there are quite a lot of choices. It all depends on what you want it to do. Greddy makes some nice ones (I have them in my Eclipse). You also have to decide if you want Electric or Mechanical. I use Electric because they allow for peak/hold and warning capabilities. Also don't forget to get a Air/Fuel Ratio Meter. The best ones are the ones that don't use LED's but instead give you voltage readings such as the Jumptronix.

the pillars are cheap - like 35 bucks I think. I'd buy an extra one and see if a pillar company can mold you one that will fit guages into. The only other place I can think of at the moment would be where the A/C is - if that's ripped out, and the stereo, if that's ripped out. (obviously, those last two choices are not for 'highly modified street' cars.

Hm..I've never seen any Apillar pods for our cars *yet*..is there any available?? I think that would be the ideal place to mount them..and then your afm on your steering column..

There's always VSD Gauges, if you're interested in that kind of thing. They're like the projected info gauges that cadillac uses on the windshield? Anyway, they sell a sport one that gives you a lot of info like that, no cutting or gauge pod required. Sorry, can't find the damn url right now though

The VSD display is a cool ideal, but what I have seen has limited function. It would be neat to find a unit that lets you display data of your choice. Here is one look at VSD..

You're right, that's the reason I didn't go with them, I couldn't get the displays I wanted (and I wasn't sure I'd like all that "ghost" information. What's your handle on RX7club?
