Recommended washing/drying supplies?
When I headed to K-Mart to buy a brand new sponge for my new S2K's first wash, my friendly pharmacist and car nut suggested I try 100% cotton "super-soft" baby diapers. I picked up two packages (six diapers) and they work great instead of a sponge for washing and as an applicator for wax/gloss. I used Zaino's #1,#2,#6 today and it looks great. Of course, it looked great before I touched it, so I'm not sure the Zaino's did any more than the Zaino's car wash.
Be sure to keep whatever you use to wash (mit, diaper, sponge) well rinsed and clean as you wash.
Anyway, I liked this. I used the 100% cotton USA made large white bath towels for washing. No complaints. Two towels. One for initial dry and one for final dry.

My car isn't a daily driver so it doesn't get too dirty. When I wash I use a bucket filled with water and 100% cotton hand towels to wash. I wash one panel at a time and dry it immdiately with 100% cotton bath towel. I don't use soap and I don't use a hose. This way I can wash the car in the garage and also works well when the car is at the track for a quick cleaning.
