Default Red airbag door...

HI guys,

I bought a full red interior from a totalled S2k, but his passenger airbag blew off, so I have to replace that one.
The problem is that I can only buy at honda a red airbag door WITH the airbag, and costs around 1200 euro!!

I have a good airbag, with a black airbagdoor and want to buy a red airbag door to swep with my black one.

Is there any company out there, who delivers the red airbagdoor seperately (for left hand drive : driver on the left side of the car, passenger on the right side)

Any advise is welcome. Trying to find this second hand part for about 8 months now, without any luck...

thx for commenting...
Dries

The passenger side airbag's $750 US or so from Majestic Honda. Not sure how you ship something like that though. I've looked into it as well, honda doesn't seem to just sell the cover and I've not found it anywhere either.

Haha yes. I hurt my baby and now it needs some TLC. I've got a cover on it because it hurts to look at it every time I walk by. O'well. Shit happens.

I was contemplating not replacing the airbags or at least deferring it till a good deal shows up.

Wouldn't it be possible to recover the black cover? Matching the grain and exact color could be a problem though.

I can paint the red cover, that's true....
but I'd hate it when i would go back to black interior, I think the full red will not sell that well in a few y ears... so I'm keeping the black interior too...

The black cover would probably look fine on your red dash and especially if you added other black accents. Black visor covers, floor mats, shifter, center console or pad, possibly door inserts and steering wheel. Two, three or more of these black accents could make the black airbag cover look right at home.
