For purists the red badge should only go on a championship white car. On a S2K I guess its acceptable if you do a Type-R style tune meaning mainly weight reduction, suspension, engine response, and cockpit control. If its just for style I think its kind of lame because the red badge actually does symbolize Honda's racing history so its not something I would personally violate unless I had a good reason to.

I cringe every time I see a S2000 with red badges, because I associate the red badges with "riced out" Civics and Accords. For me this is reason enough to never put a red badge on my car, but if you like the look then go for it!

The stock emblems on my S2000 were powder coated flat black by the previous owner, and I am going to either swap them out for the stock style or shave them.

I have black badges since my side badges are black.

Honestly, it's whatever you feel like getting....whether it's an S, or an A, or a bowtie... it's your car, you do what you want

I have an 04 AP2. Can someone tell me how these Red OEM badges attach? Do they have a peel/stick adhesive along with pins or just the peel/stick adhesive?

The ones for the AP1 are pinned with adhesive, the NSX ones are adhesive only.

yes they will work on AP2. i have the red badges on my 2008. i love them. i had to crack and break my front badge as i couldnt get the clips behind the bumper. the rear ones were a easier as they just popped out. in order to shave off the pins on the new badges (rear only iirc) just hold with a wrench and twist.

they are basically adhered by the 3m tape. its recommended to get extra 3m tape for the front one as it just has two strips, but i havent had a problem with the tape it came with. good luck!
