This is an old miata trick that seems to work on my S2000 as well.

When driving on the freeway top down, lower the drivers side window while leaving the passenger side all the way up. Yeah it looks dorky, but the wind buffeting is greatly reduced. Don't believe me? Give it a try.

Blowing wind is part of the fun of top down driving.

It works, I had a Miata for years before I had the S2000 and always did that if it was very cold.

When it's a beautiful day but only 30 degree's, you'd drive with the heater on and the windows up as well.

Actually, I'd drive with the windows up as well as the top.

The wind doesn't usually bother me. If I ever raise the side windows, it's to combat the noise. I can't stand it when you get stuck next to some massive hulking truck with enormous offroad tires that sound like a printing press when the the thing is moving at 70 mph.

I wear contacts so i have to drive with the side windows up just in case dust gets to my eyes.
If i am driving locally i put the windows down.
