register as owner?

Default register as owner?

i tried going through my profile. The only thing i didnt enter is the vin number. Do i have to enter that to become an owner? I dont get it. Anyways... your help would be appreciated.

Yes, you have to enter the VIN number to show yourself as an "Owner"

Then you can spent 20 bucks and be a "member".

Also, when you become an "owner" you can sell things on the baord and it lends you a little bit of credibility. By that I mean, too often lately members have been scamed by "enthusiast" selling parts. Other members as well as myself are sick of seeing it and even more sick of reading the "I got scammed by" threads. In an effort to reduce this we'll me monitoring post and "suggesting strongly" that the enthusiast either register as owner or post proof of ownership. We've already seen a couple threads stopped by doing this.

Ya thanks for the info. Its actually my dads car thogh, and he wont give me his vin number. he doenst want to put it over the internet. Have any character configs that will work? All the ones i tried dont work. I really want to get his car out on the web though. Love to let you guys take a look at it.

nope you need the real VIN. Tell your dad to relax..its public information that can be obtained at the DMV.
