Default Reliability question

I have always owned hondas and currently own a 2000 integra. I have been considering an s2000 for a while but would like to know what areas I can expect to have repairs after owning the car more than 3-4 years.

Currently I have 85k miles on the Integra and lately its has become a Problem child. I had the same thing with my 86 accord once it got up to 90k miles it started to nickel and dime me with things like Power Antenna, Power window switch, Radiator, Water pump, CV joints.

My integra over the last 18 months has been similar so before buying another honda I would like to hear if some of the things I can expect to go wrong (if any) when the car gets somewhere around 50-60k mile area ?

Thanks,

i'm at 60k, bought at 37k. there pretty much aren't any non-wear&tear problems it seems. most of what you read will be clutches and diffs going out. not true for everyone, but that's how it seems in general. and i don't mean everyone, or even just most people, have their clutch or diff go out by this point, it's just that *if* something goes wrong, it's usually one of those two. just keep up with maintenance (almost all of which you can do yourself, even if not mechanically-inclined), and you should be fine.

I've put 80k on my 2000 S2000 and I've been auto-xing religiously with it and I haven't had to replace anything that wasn't due to the auto-xing. I broke an axle, tore my upper a-arms from the frame, and tore my engine mounts but all those have to be expected from auto-xing on r-compounds for years. After I replaced and repaired those bits, the car is like new.

I'm on the same clutch and same diff that came with the car and I've beat the living sh*t out of it. The car has proven to be extremely reliable in my case.

I'm at 80k and nothing really ever went wrong with it yet...until I start dicking around with it ie. mods etc. reset ecu a couple times that's all for me.

You leave it stock and not drive the s*** out of it, keep it well maintained and you wont have any problems at all. Thats gonna be the hardest part of ownership(keeping stock and driving modestly).

Thanks for the Replys. This definitely helps my decision. I plan on keeping it stock and I do not really drive it hard at all. I like to cruise fast on the Freeways but other than that there is no real hard core driving.

So most people I assume can get at least 80-90k on the first clutch. About how long do your brakes last ? I was pretty easy on my Integra and was able to get 70k miles before changing all four.

Didn't get nearly that much out of the clutch. S now has 92k on it.
Clutch went at 70k
Diff went at 55k
CV joints at 80k

reliability seems to be fairly good, from personaly experience, I cant say much since mine is an 05 and only has just over 5000 miles, but from people i have met with them, even ones with high mileage seem to still be running great with mininal repairs.
