Default Removable Hardtop

I would not have purchased it on a new car but my used 2002 came with a removable hard top. Although I originally felt that it should be against the law to even put up the cloth top ( only a Californian could make this statement) I have decided that my car looks great with the hard top on. It is very easy to put on and take off. I can do it by myself in about 15 minutes. I have an manual overhead hoist.

The only problem is the top seems to magnify what is already a very noisy car.

Does anyone else have a hard top on their S2000 and what do you think of it?

I have it on mine, and I don't think it magnifies the noise. I actually like it very much. Gives the car a totally different look. I also have a hoist, but I have yet to install it.

Oops, my bad, that's for convertible top noise, not hard.

I have one, there's less noise. Also, I'd suggest not leaving your top down all the time, there are LOADS of very disrespectful spiders that think they can put webs anywhere they want!

I just put a new hardtop on my '01 from Hardtopguy (highly recommended, BTW). Both my wife and I feel the hardtop reduces interior noise by a small but significant amount. That's not what I bought it for but it's a nice benefit.

I think you hear more engine noise, but less wind noise. Since I like the Engine noise, I like the hard top. I also love the way it makes the car look. (I have the OEM top).

P.S. bcs2000 Not only is it rude to hijack a thread, it is also against policy for guests to post for sale threads on this site.
