I would like to remove the "H" emblems from the "nose" of my S and from the rear vertical trunk surface. I would like to remove them in a non-destructive manner, so I could re-install them to return my car to "bone stock" when someday I sell it. I don't want o replace these emblems with anything else, but instead would want to polish out the areas involved to make it look like nothing was ever there.
i've heard of people using dental floss to remove the front and rear emblems. also, just so you know, there will be small holes, 2 for each emblem when it has been removed. so you might not get that clean look your aiming for.
There are actually holes underneath both the honda emblems in the back and the front of the car so there is no way that you are going to remove them without shaving them off and doing some body work. Basically you will have to fill the holes, sand it down, and spray the front bumper and trunk. It will look clean, but it will cost a few bucks and take a good bodyshop. Also, when removing the OEM emblems its almost impossible to remove them without breaking the plastic studs that go through the bumper and trunk, but if you shaved them off there is really no reason to save them anyway.
Well, it sounds like I'll have to replace those "H" emblems with something, due to the two holes involved in their attachment. It is just that I think those "Hs" look so "mickey mouse" and identify the S with the rest of the Honda line in which (IMO) it does not belong. Does Ricks (or anybody else) have any replacement emblems that are "S" instead of "H"?

It looks good without the badges.
Is that my car?
I agree, it really does give it a clean look. People kept asking me why I was removing the emblems...and then they saw it Do it man, just get a good shop to work with you.
Well weather you like it or not you do drive a Honda. Just like a Skyline is still a Nissan and an Evo is still a Mitzubishi. All these automobile lines have slow sedans in their line ups.
