I noticed that the bottom one of my side strakes was hanging under my car, this must have occurred during a recent altercation with a curb. After examining I decided it couldn't be easily fixed, so I decided to see how it looked if I took the bottom plastic/rubber piece off. Here are the pics, for anyone who might need to do this in the future. The pictures were bright on my home monitor, but dark here at work...sorry if the first three aren't great.

Before:

With bottom piece off:

I noticed there was another piece inside the wheel well, I removed it too:

Final:

I was surprised and relieved that it still looked decent.

I believe the rubber thingies in front of the wheels actually have an aerodynamic effect - but at normal speeds that's probably not noticable.

Both the front and read air dams are aerodynamic aids. I guess it doesn

the "rubber thingies" are still in my trunk, the dealer never installed them... how hard are they to install, and should i? it comes with all the screws, but do i have to remove anything else before i slap them on? Also, while washing the car, i noticed the front facia is sort of lose in front of the tires... could this be why? it's missing a few screws? please help.

I hate my side strakes, and wish I'd never succumbed to the dealer pressure (forced option) to get them. They are *cheap* and I want to get rid of them!
