Default Repair costs.....

Update on the trashed car....

Estimate for repair was 2.5 million yen (US$ 21,000) . They have agreed to write it off!!

Now comes the decision of whether to replace it with the same or something else.......

James,

Definitely get the new 2002 model and get it in one of the new premium colors. Gotta take advantage of licing out there in Japan. The rest of use aren't going to get those colors.

Why don't you take the repair $ and thus keep the pink slip? You can part the car out (if there is enough left to part) and make enough off that to nearly cover a new 2002.
