i'd like to replace the stock '04 leather/metallic knob with an aftermarket unit... what are some favorites out there?

just a brand name and/or link would be really helpful...

Voodoo is probably the most popular replacement, its shorter then stock, comes in many flavors, and affordable.

Theres also Muz knobs which are similiar and come in many different colors. But shipping maybe more expensive since they are based Austraillia.

The very popular Muz shiftknob. Shipping is only about $5 USD. It comes with a filled laser engraved pattern and a set screw in the stem for correctly aligning the pattern. No glues or loctite needed.

Consider checking out other OEM knobs from Honda. Their fit/finish is usually best and they have a variety of 6spd ones to choose from. I chose tihs route because I did not like the leather piece around the middle of the stock one.

Also consider the Spoon titamium knob- some have had issues with them breaking because it is very light. I think* Spoon may have solved the issue by now and if you are not slamming the stick into gear it is likely not an issue.
