Default Replacing S2000 01 plastic back window with 02 new glass window

Is there a way to replace the plastic window from the 01 model to the glass rear window in the 02 model.

what he probably ment is, this ? has been asked numerous times and the answer is

---> yes, you could put the glass on the 00-01 models, but it will be very very very very expensive.
i think it would be better to just trade in the car and just get the 02 if you really want the glass that bad.
you are looking at atleast 3-4k dollars to replace the plastic with a glass. that is if you can find someone
reputable to even do it here.

I'm interested in this as well. Anyone have any idea on how much this would cost? I'm assuming you just need a new top with the window in it. There was a guy on here who got a new top on his '02 blue. He got a blue top to match the blue exterior. I think it was $800.

It would probably be much easier to change the entire softtop from '01 to '02 w/glass.

eimea has had this done without changing the frame for the top. Check out both pages of this thread - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...50&pagenumber=1

BTW - You've been on s2ki for quite a while from what I see. If the search feature is working, you'd be suprised to see what comes up. There's a wealth of info on just this topic when I did a search.

Good luck.

Bayarea 408 already answered your question. Look at his post. Too expensive ($3,000 - $4,000 thousand USD). This has been asked a million times.
