Default Replica Body Kit Fitments

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a replica C-West body kit. I got it for a great deal, but it will obviously need prep and painting.
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with fitmet issues on replica kits? I bet this has been beaten into the ground, but I couldn't find much on the search. Did the replica kit fit just fine? Did it fit like CRAP with huge gaps? I'm sure every kit is different, but I'd like to know your experience. TIA!

Most kits need work. Even the real ones do too.

some times the replica kits fit better than the authentic ones!!

and the previous poster is correct...to get it looking good, there will always need to be some work done to the pieces - replica or not

Should have no problem,if you buy high quality replica kits, but then you'r gonna pay nearly the same price.
If you buy the bargain "el cheapo kit",you'r in deep trouble, most of the time.

Well I bought the kit... I think I got an "el cheapo" one.
Just holding it up.. doesn't look too good. Taking the kit in tomorrow, and the car on Monday. I will keep you updated.
By the way... It's a C-West (so original, right?) on a 2001 GPW. *fingers crossed*
What should be an expected amount for prep/paint and some slight fiberglass work??
