i was thinking about getting the c-west kit for my S... but importing a c-west kit then getting it painted would be too much... i was wondering how good are the replicas? i found this one... c-WISE body kit any thoughts? is it worth the buy?

also... how much would it normally cost to have it painted and installed? so i have an idea what a good price is when i get estimates

There are a few aftermarket body c west kits for as low as 400 dollars. The fitment is not as good generally as the original, but a good body shop should be able to get them on and have them looking good no problem.

 

All the replica's that I have seen, the fiberglass has flaws in them, esp around the edges. It is worse on a dark colored car obviously.

 

It all depepds on who you get it from for less headaches, but what it essentially comes down to is who will install, prep, and paint the kit. I feel for people who shelled out money for the original, but the reason I would roll replica is the fact that if it is cracked or anything then it is no sweat to replace it. Just my .02.
