Just wanted to let everyone know how our racing team fared this past weekend at the first SCCA ProSolo event of the season. Myself, Brad (soloiiracer) and Juliann (juliann) ran our Spa Yellow Stook in the season opener.

While the S2000 normally runs in A-Stock, we were bumped to Super-Stock because there were only 4 entries in A-Stock. That put us in direct, un-indexed competition with BoxsterS's and new Z06's. Many of the cars had custom shocks and light wheels, including one Z06 that was totally set up. We don't have our custom Penske shocks yet, so this event was on the stock S2K shocks.

Luckily, we get our full A-Stock points so even though I was 4th in SS, and Brad was 8th, we get 1st and 2nd place points in A-Stock for the season ending championship. Juliann did great in her first ProSolo, getting 7th in the Ladies' 1 class, and nearly making the challenge.

This being out first event of the year, I'm looking forward to a great season. With Gary Thomason selling his car, someone needs to defend the National Championship.

Congrats guys!!! Good job...So how did the S2000 run against the Boxter S? Did you guys watch any of the Daytona 500 yesterday or specificly the crash of Dale Earnhardt?

My best raw times (I had cones on these) were only .150 behind the combined time of the BoxsterS winner. My best raw times also beat all the Z06's. These courses were narrow and full of offsets, so the S2K and Boxster had an advantage over the wider, heavier Vette.

As for Daytona, we found out about it in the airport last night. I've been watching the coverage this afternoon, and it's a terrible tradgedy that overshadows not only our results, but also the first win for Michael Waltrip. Dale will be missed.
