Retractable Tonneau Covers

I order for this to work you would have to somehow make the rear of the top lift up so that the tonneau could raise before the top went down. This sounds like a very, very expensive project. please keep us updated on your progress.

As Boosted04S2k said, "Many convertibles have this feature", so it is fairly straight forward -- look at the Solstice, the Sky, the Porsches, the Corvettes, the SLKs, and so on. All you have to do is gut the trunk, re-design the whole trunk lid and the way the convertable top goes up and down and you'd have a motorized tonneau cover. (You may also have to move some other things around to keep the 50/50 weight distribution.) I say go for it and let us know how it worked out.
