Default Rev Limiter observation

I recently installed a shift beeper and I've been playing around with how I wanted to set it. For those who are unaware, it has 3 warning beeps then a constant beep as you hit the desired RPM. You have the ability to set the warning beeps at intervals of 100, 200, or 300RPMs. I decided that 3 beeps was enough warning for me so I set a 200RPM interval with a 9100RPM final beep. This way I would hear 3 beeps, the third one at 8900RPMs and I could shift just before hitting 9000.

A few days ago I accidentally hit the rev limiter (yeah, even with the beeper, what a moron). After hitting the limiter I realized that I heard a 4th beep, meaning the car actually surpassed 9100RPM! I was under the impression that the rev limiter was set at 9000RPM but aparently not.

9300 I think, either that or 9200.

To my understanding the rev limiter is set around 8900 rpms...it can go up to 9100 but usually thats when you bounce off the rev limiter. This is my observation with my VAFC.

AP1 limitter is set at 9200RPM, and if you over rave while going down hill, no rave limitter can save you from machanical speed itself either, becareful.

Not sure which shift beeper you have, but my "Modifry" unit has 3 single beeps first, then the 4th is solid. I set things for 300 rpm intervals and the final solid beep about 8800 rpm. With "gears" and a supercharger, the revs climb so fast, I need the extra warning time to sync my shift just right, especially in 1st and 2nd. The other gears slow down enough that I have time to glance at the tach.

you'd have to be going down one HELL of a hill to cause a mechanical overrev when accelerating to the rev limiter.

REDLINE on the ap1 is around 8900rpms. the actual rev limiter is just a tad over 9100.

Won't the car itself beep if it goes that high?
