Default Review: Mastergrade Cf Rad Cover

Purchased and installed MasterGrade's carbon fiber radiator cover recently. I chose MG's product b/c it covers more area than any other CF rad cover I've seen for this car. Looks like this:

I must say, MG's customer service was top notch (10/10). Price is not cheap, but the quality is very good (9/10).

My only beef: fitment (7/10). The hood latch cutout (3rd pic) required some addt'l cutting to raise the latch & allow my CF hood to close properly. Also, the right side of the cover (next to the hood prop) does not line up perfectly, as can be seen in this pic:

All in all, however, I'm quite pleased with it. Big to Perry, Will and the rest of the boys over in Signal Hill for continuing to push the envelope.

Bought a different version sometime ago from Coastal Metal. Purpose is to drive more air throuh the radiator for more cooling.

Good question.

After installing my Spearco FMAC radiator, the stock rad cover would not fit back into place. Thus, the area above the radiator(s) was wide open, and air was needlessly being dissipated into the engine bay. I needed a new cover to keep the incoming air down low and increase cooling. This one happened to be most appealing to me, visually and aesthetically.

it would benefit certain cold air intakes and other low and forward placed aftermarket air intakes as it keeps incoming cool air in a confined place

You should see the "puzzle" CF system MasterGrade has for the whole engine compartment. That is pretty sexy too
