converting mine to rhd currently in NYC!
U should just trade with someones s overseas. Im sure in japan, they do left hand conversions and that's unique over there. I always imagined driving a viper in japan is like seeing a r34 gtr here... breaking necks for sure
I thought it has to be older than 96 to do that. JDM cars will never pass emissions here. in PA there are some workarounds like registyering it as a collector car or a classic once it is 20 yrs old. Im still trying to figure out how i am going to pass. Might need to have a friend write a bill saying i spent $150 trying to make it pass and get a waiver for the year.. after that i'll need to stay under 5k to be emissions exempt
In my oppinion, converting to RHD is the most absolute unique modification you'll see here in the US. Anybody can put an order in for a Mugen or Spoon part and have it within a month or two. Getting these clips and being able to convert it is hard to do. I'm assuming there's 10 or less in the states? That's what i'm going for, a uniqe, nice, rare and insanely fun car to drive. I like to stand out

Whatever, to each there own, however, I will never get "status" when it comes to cars.

I hear people ask this all of the time.. What is the point of modifying your car? you do it to make it appeal to you. You do it to stand out from the other cars you see on the road every day.

Everybody loves to jump on the JDM bandwagon, spend 1600 on a wing and 6k+ on a body kit and some jdm wheels, but then love to bash people that do the jdm RHD conversion. They'll say they don't understand why, it's stupid, it has no advantage blah blah. How are you (not you specifically, I mean everyone that questions this modification) going to justify spending top dollar on JDM parts for the simple fact they are JDM, but then talk down on a japanese conversion. Not everyone does this, but i know plenty of people in my area that do. It completely baffles me. It may not be the best driving position for us here in the US, but in MY oppinion it's still awesome and unique. Haters gonna hate, I don't care
