Default Rice?

So the other day i went to go see dodgeball with a few friends. So my friend's sister had her friend there. There was this rice dout eclipse that passed by, and she said "Thats Hot" so i goto her "Are you serious? thats just rice, with an exsaust done maybe cold air done to it" so she goes "how can you say its rice when you drive rice" now this anoyed me to no end. In my oppion a honda S2000 is not rice in any way shape or form. And i was just wondering if you guys think our car counts as rice caus ei shure as hell don't.

My definition, your definition and your friend's sister's definition of "rice" are all likely different. Make up your own mind, I say, and don't worry about what other people think.

Our car is rice once only if you add rice to it.

Rice is stuff that you add to your car that doesn't add horsepower or better performance. Things like stickers, too much carbon fiber, bodykits, neon lighting, fart-can exhausts, large aluminum wings, etc. are usually what constitutes rice.

Remember, mods can be tastefully done, but not all mods are tasteful.

Dear god will this subject never die?!

How much you want to bet that her father is of the Viet-Nam War era and maybe even fought there, in his opinion any automobile hailing from an asian country is a "rice burner". She may have formed her mental image from information presented to her. My father has the same affliction, but we are playful with it.

Take comments for what they are worth and always consider the source and above all if you enjoy your car then stop worrying what other people think about it!

Our cars come virtually rice-free in their stock form. Very classy by most standards. The front fake vents is about the only minor point I can see, but that's not really rice either. Go outside and look at your car. Are there stickers all over it? A ridiculous looking wing on the back? If not, it only says your friend's friend is jealous. Either way, laugh it off. Your car is likely a hell of lot nicer than hers.

anything can be rice.. just depends on what the person does, and what the opinion of rice is to the person judging it

Some people consider all japanese cars rice. My definition of rice is any cheese-ball mods such as altezza's, ugly wheels, excessive vinyl, and ghetto suspension setup, etc. A stock S2000 is in no way, shape, or form, rice. Some people think anything and everything they can possibly put onto their car makes it "cooler," which is usually rice "mods."
