Why not copy the new J's header? It seems to show much higher gains although there is no provision for the stock heatshields (which are not needed any way. they are mainly for the jdm car whose clutch and brake fluid reservoirs are on the opposite side.).

Make a J's copy for $625 and you'll sell twice as many.

I think this is a great design. As most of us aren't keeping the revs above 6k as we're driving to work or even out on weekends, this header really does provide a valuable gain to the daily driven S2000. It's probably the best bang for the buck you'll see when it comes to a header design for our cars. Great job guys.

Why copy anything? J's make a good part and now so do we. Now S2000 owners have more options, not copies.

On the heatshields, if they are just for the JDM cars, then why do all the JDM header not have them?

Don't get me wrong. I think what you're doing is great. You are offering comparable performance when compared to a venerable JDM header but at half the price and no wait time. But it is still a very similar design to the Mugen header with minimal gains. I would buy one if that were where my performance goals were. I, however, and I'm sure there are others, would like to see a header with a higher peak gain like the new J's design. I'm sure the supercharged guys would love this too.

All I'm saying is I think what you're doing is great. Make a J's type header (like you've made this Mugen type header) and keep at the same price point and you'll sell like a shillion.

As far as the JDM headers not having heat shields, well I guess they don't have the attention to detail and quality you do. for that. But in reality, most of these are racing type headers and will probably be wrapped for racing conditions anyway. Wrap weighs less than a heat shield. But heatshields aren't really needed on the US cars. to you for including them anyway, as that is what some drivers think they need.

Kudos to you Rick, for making something that the people want for a great price with comparable or even better quality than JDM. I am as big of a JDM whore as anyone, but its only been because there have not really been any domestic alternatives (that outperform their JDM counterparts in price and power). Now there is.

Please consider making a J's type header for the same price point and I'm sure you'll sell like a shillion. If anyone agrees, please speak up and maybe we can get something going. Stinky Tofu agrees, so I guess that's two so far.

Wonderful piece of steel! Nonetheless, while I am very interested, I have questions (like many above).
-we know it weighs just under 13 lbs, but what is the weight savings (vs OEM)?
-what are the numbers for an 04+ model?
-I am concerned with the integrity of the unit over time (welds, etc.). What is the warrenty?
-How does the header affect the sound?
-I cannot view the close up of your previous dyno post (link fails). Can you repost here?

I look forward to learning more. Thanks for the innovation and attention to value.
