Actually, we all believe it was a planned event...

Rick will soon be offering his own improved Mud Guard and was attempting to show us all why it is a "must have" mod.

Perhaps he's going to offer his new line of cleaning aids?

If it was planned then it was a very detailed plan. I see get off marks in the grass that run right up to his tires. Hmmm a planned get off? If so maybe he's testing the durability of his wheel center cap stickers.

I was trying to show you guys the line, but I couldn't tell you not step on the accelerator going on the uphill. Torque oversteer will do it everytime!

ps. I once was flagging at the up hill when a women with an instructor in an XKE Jag Convertible did the same thing; but the consequences were much worse because the ground was soft, the wheels dug in, and she did a slow roll-over.

pps. Don't feel bad Rick! The event you didn't see was the Pace Car Driver (that's driving a VIPER, for those of you who are reading this and don't know what pace cars they use at Lime Rock) stepped on the gas on the main straight comming out of the downhill, LOSE it! And slide for close to 200 feet backwards driver's right, and high-side the car on the dirt birm (the tail was higher then the birm), almost rolling over. It took a tow truck to get him off, because when he tried to leave, he just hung the rear end on the birm with the drive wheels 10 inches off the ground.

Is there a next time?

See the other thread on this topic for my accurate description of what actually happened.

That Viper screwed us all up. We could have shown that crowd some real speed if it weren't for his lousy driving in the rain .
