Wonder what the status of this color touch up paint is in japan
I have japanese co-workers in japan as we speak...but their plane leaves tomorrow morning...so no time to contact a dealer.

I will be going to japan during the first couple of weeks in april...so if we don't hear anything by then....I will check into it while I am over there.

Rick, I have a bottle of the silver sebring touchup paint... I can send you some if you PM me where to send it to--also do you want it wet, or dry?

I have a complete set of silver on black badges, from my blk/blk '00 model... I put them up to my silver a while ago and the darker silver "S" just doesn't look right to me. At a distance, or a photo, it looks good, but in person I just don't care for it.

Same thing with the wheels...the new rims are slightly different in color (darker)... Call me picky, or anal...whatever.

As mentioned above....
I will be getting back from Japan around april 24...
I will be stopping by a Japan dealer where I have ordered some touch up paint for suzuka blue....it is supposed to be ready 2 weeks from my order date of march 30....
And it is definately not back ordered over there....
from what I can get out of my japanese co-workers this touch up paint is likely a brush on application and not a spray can....
I have ordered two units with the price being around $5 for each unit....

I will let you know what i get as soon as i return...would others be interested if i can get ahold of some suzuka blue brush on touch up paint?

thanks
Cory

jss2k,

I also have an 02 Spa Yellow, and have both Rick's S badges and wheel badges. I previously had a 01 Spa yellow and did the same with it, and the only difference on the removal of the Honda badges is the front badge. It was very difficult to remove, seemed to be riveted into the front bumper. My 01 model was not installed this way. Appears Honda does not like these being removed? I actually ended up breaking it off in pieces. The back removes easily, just like the 01 model.
But S badges do look great.
I went with yellow S on silver, and the wheel badges black S on silver.
Good Luck.

Whelp....I have returned...from my Japan trip
With some suzuka touchup paint.
Won't be able to verify the color match until this weekend....but will definately keep you posted.

If the match is good I could likely have my japan co-workers order more from their nearby honda dealer and have it delivered to me....if anyone else is interested.
I believe the cost was roughly 700 yen = maybe 5.xx usd.

Rick H. are you still in need of a suzuka paint sample...would a bottle of touch up do...if the match is good?
