It looks like you recover the wheel without removing the stock leather (wheel looks fatter then stock). Why not remove the stock material first then recover?

Love the alacantra wheel!

off of rick's website:

"Before the leather is fitted, each wheel is wrapped with an extra 1/16 of neoprene padding, which makes Rick's two-color wheels slightly thicker than the stock wheel and provides a better and more comfortable grip for vigorous driving."

can it be done without the extra padding? i dont have huge monster polar bear size palms. the factory size is just fine for me.
price for the alacantra is same as the two tone?

yup, the r8 has an 8k++ redline... i think its about 8,250 or so.

Yes.

On the pricing questions for the Alcantara wheels. I need to confirm what the prototype cost. I will post it up later this week.
