I just ordered the RM Racing Low Restriction Air Intake / Cold Option Alloy ( http://www.rmnsx.com/s2000/cold_option_alloy.htm ) has anyone bought and installed this? I'm curious if it's something I'll be able to do on my own or if I'll need a shop to do it. It seems like it should be easy, but I've never installed anything on a car before, other than a replacement horn on my S2K.

I found quite a few products on this page that I hadn't seen the last time I was there http://www.rmnsx.com/s2000/s2000_catalog.htm .

A few of us have it. I had mine installed and the mechanic who did it (who I trust) said the lower part (flexible tube and scoop) was not worth doing and would not make any difference.

I'll be posting some pictures of my install in a few days. AaronS2K has posted pictures of his several times.

Just posted a picture on this thread: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=1731

Here's a copy.

I JUST INSTALLED THIS SYSTEM AND HAD NO PROBLEM UNTIL I GOT TO THE FLEX TUBE AND THE SCOOP-IMPOSSIBLE. I CALLED RM NAD WAS TOLD IT IS VERY EASY TO INSTALL FLEX AND SCOOP. I ASKED THEM FOR A DETAILED INSTALLATION EXPLANATION AND WAS TOLD THAT IF I WAS IN ARIZONA THEY WOULD INSTALL IN 15 MINUTES, I AM IN FLORIDA. I AM RETURNING THE SCOOP AND FLEX FOR CREDIT. OTHER THAN THIS IT IS A VERY CLEAN AND GOOD LOOKING INSTALLATION. THE SOUND IS TERRIFIC, LOUDER THAN STOCK WITH A VERY "THROATY AND MASCULINE SOUND".

Hey Rick/Charlie, did either of you do your TB by Proflow? If not, do you plan to and do you think it would be an additional benefit or a waste of $$ ?

I believe you actually lose HP with this design because it sucks in warmer air from the engine compartment.

Looks nice though.
