Or maybe the love peace more than Americans do. Americans are involved in every war in every generation, regardless of whether it was necessary or not. Within the last century: WWI & WWII (including Japanese war); a few years later, Korean war; a few years later, Vietnam war; a few years later, wars in Latin America; a few years later, wars in Eastern Europe; a few years later, wars in Africa and Middle East; a few years later, still wars in the Middle East; and it keeps going and going and going with no end in sight. Who knows what wars are next a few years from now, but be reassured that there'll be more wars to come. Americans are just so in love with wars.

Road & Track and C&D are owned by the French? So Hachette Filippachi Media U.S., Inc is owned by the French? Didn't know that, and honestly, don't care either. They also have good things to say about Honda. And they should.
