road and track needs to learn math

I made it to 325 before I filled up, and still had 3 bars like you see in this picture.
10.092gal 325.4miles = 32.2 mpg
So yes, theoretically, if I continued to drive every last drop out of the tank, I would have hit 425.4 miles on that tank. A more conservative estimate at 12 and 12.5 gallons would be 386.4 miles and 402.5 miles, respectively.
My favorite part about this tank is it was 70-85mph, no stopping/slowing down for traffic, and the A/C cranked =) Using the A/C on my car causes very little MPG reduction. I have an 800 mile drive on July 3rd, should be interesting to see what I get with the supercharger on there now =)
I only get 200-220 per tank and thats filling a little over 11 gallons. Thats about mostly 70% city and 30% highway. I should try shifting at 3k rpm and ease up on the gas to see if I can get over 230miles. The best I think I ever got was 227 and that was driving with no gas bars for a few miles..
On a side note, seems like the S2000 had the best braking distance and 2nd best in slalom! Well, but the cobalt still beat the S around the slalom
Didn't realize the Nismo 350Z's braking was a bit messy though ...

My record stands at 347 GPS verified miles on 10.6 gallons of gas. Assuming the tank is EXACTLY 13 gallons, I could have hit 400 if I ran it near bone dry. I get 27mpg on my untuned, running really rich turbo s2000 now, and when I get tuned, I will be back in the 30s again.
most i have ever gotten was just over 300 on a road trip. I average about 215-230 miles on a tank. Damn all these stupis hills where i live. The only place without hills here is downtown.
It sucks.

I ran my 05 dry a couple weeks ago by mistake (as if there would be another reason) and had about 385 miles on the tank. Actually, the car was running fine in the morning when I arrived at work, but then I couldn't get it started again later in the day, which is when I dope-slapped myself in the head and realized I was out of gas. I bet if I kept on driving in the morning with the fuel pump pulling, I could have gone a teeny bit farther.
I can't find the gas receipt, but I seem to recall that it took about 12.5 gals to refill it (1 gal from a gas can, the rest when I filled up). That would be just about 31 mpg, which is inline with my experiences (typically see 28-32).
So I suspect 400 miles is possible if you get the same kind of gas mileage I do, but you'd want to keep running until the end, and have a spare gas can in the trunk! Certainly, 400 miles is not a dependable "real-world" figure. You can only get that when running on the ragged edge.
