Roadsurfer, it sounds like they're trying to make it fastest possible speed (Sat to Mon at 0600). If so, unless things have really changed in Canada in the last 2 years, I've found I can run 85+ on the QEW, and not have a problem with the Mounties. Not many states on the East coast that you can do that without a good radar detector.. No idea about the MidWest (don't go there at all...) Has something changed?

Vampyre, if you're buying an AP1 series car make sure you check your oil level EVERY FILLUP on the way back. As you'll read, this series can burn oil, and you don't want to runout.

We will be rolling with my valentine 1 :-) I usually never go over 5 mph on road trips. Its not worth the ticket/tickets to me to get home an hour quicker. The V1 is to let me know to double check my speed just in case it creeps up.

When I had my ap1 I never burned a drop of oil in 44k miles. But I always check my oil in my cars when I gas up.

I will be bringing 2 rolls of blue tape with me and will be taping the front end good. As well as the side starks.

The plan is to leave VT around 5pm get to Niagara falls around midnight ish sleep till 10ish leave around 11 ish. Hopefully get to Chicago between 6-630pm to avoid rush hour. Get home around 1am ish tueday, Sleep and go to work at 6 and finally post lots of pics and HD video after work.

The route looks like just before buffalo NY we hit i-90 for 1000 miles. Then hit I94 in Wisconsin. From there I know the rest of the way. So looks like an easy trip once on 90.

Oh. Sorry. I see. Not really a roadtrip. More like a conveyor belt, cruise controlled drone. Good luck with that, my friend. Sounds like no fun whatsoever.

Be very careful on 90 as you cut through Ohio.. there are speed traps everywhere...I have a V1 and it's good, but we use laser here so instant-on is always something to be aware of.

Rush hour in Cleveland is not too bad and just make sure you follow the signs carefully around downtown.. it appears as if you are not on 90 for a bit when you are in the city but you are.

If you need a break while you shooting through Cleveland, let me know and I can recommend some places to eat along 90.

When you are in Niagara Falls, are you going to stay on the US side or crossing the border? If you have your passport, I'd recommend crossing the border and seeing the falls from the Canada side.. it's a better view in my opinion (just remember that you need your passport to cross now).

Someone also mentioned this but if you can, toss some painters tape on the front of your car. LBP and blue painters tape isn't that much different in color so it's not too noticeable.. Your bumper will thank you.

Have a safe drive.

Not a good tip,No Rush hour on weekends unless the Bears are playing or there's an accident. Also don't take 94 just stay on 90 all the way home,Construction north of chicago for last 20 miles to WI state line.
