Road trip high
Just returned from a road trip to San Francisco. After a monotonous trip to SF on I-5, we searched out some "back roads" on the way south. From Palo Alto, we took Page Mill road to Skyline Dr., and then headed south on Route 9 to Santa Cruz. The road was twisty and traffic-free, allowing us to really let the car loose. I have driven several nimble cars (944, Corvette, etc), but nothing compared to the handling of my little S2000. The car is light, perfectly balanced, and handled like a dream. My wife mentioned that I had a permanent grin
on my face during the entire trip down these roads.
The only mishap we encountered was both bumpers from my Rick's aeroscreen coming off halfway to SF. We found a Home Depot near the city and I opted for a more secure screw-in bumper installation (after all that mess with the superglue).
My friend accompanied us on the trip in his new Boxster. After comparing notes of our drive back down to Southern Cal on Hwy 1, I wouldn't trade my car for his. His only advantage was having heated seats (it got a bit chilly).

Mordi, you should've used the "pillowy blanket of hot air" setting. It would've kept you pretty warm.

Jimmy,
It's just a setting on the circulation panel. It's the one that looks like the car with the top down. In the owners manual it says that you can use this setting with the top down and the windows up to get a pillowy blanket of hot air into the cabin. It actually works fairly well, although your toes do get toasty.

Don't let your Boxster friend beat you! Get seat heaters installed! A couple of us have done it, for around $400 total for both seats, switches, and installation. It makes a big difference.
