I took my '07 SS on a trip from SoCal to Houston, TX, back in June of this year. The trip wasn't really memorable but the ride made it incredible. On the way back, my cousin accompanied my brother and I back to SoCal in his 350Z. Whenever we'd stop at a no name town, people would be interested in my S2K while seeming to avoid my cousin's 350Z like it had AIDs.
Note: The attention the S received isn't what made the trip worthwhile but just added onto the fun factor of taking a common car (at least in California) to different parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, etc.

The first night my back was killing me but I put a towel in the lumbar area and it helped. Not sure what the issue was, maybe just needed to get used to the seat or it needed to break in as after that first day, had no problems the rest of the trip.
That's interesting. I just recently came back from a 5,100 mile road trip and had no complaints about the seats. It's odd that you had problems at first and that they went away. I have heard of people complaining about the seats not being comfortable but don't recall anyone saying that they got used to it or broke the seats in or anything along those lines.

A few have installed adjustable lumbar support in the seats -- basically an air bladder that fits under the seat covers.

If u want to stop the pain in the back on road trips. U need to work out more core muscles at home or in a gym. That is the reason backs start hurting on trips weak cores. Hmm good write up on the road trip. I have done a few with the CR. But i have to say as long as i take a break every 2-3 hours its not so bad. But this is one reason im trying to get rid of the CR. I love road trips and need more room thinking about geting back in a Fit or older civic
